While I was searching for recipes, I noticed how similar Spanish cuisine are to Filipino dishes. I wondered why, but then I remembered that the Philippines was colonized by Spain for more than 300 years so naturally, a lot of our dishes had Spanish roots. Fast-forward to years later and now we want to visit Spain! Spain has always been in our travel list for its architecture, culture, and most of all food.
What I love about having tapas for date night was that it is so easy to make. The shrimp took 15minutes to cook, and the chorizo another 15. Everything else was something you either baked for 10min or bought from the store.
Gambas (Shrimp, Butter, Garlic, and Parsley) Marinate in lemon soda, cook with lots of butter and lots of garlic!
Chorizo w/ Balsamic Vinaigrette (Chorizo, Garlic, Balsamic Vinegar, Parsley)
Jalapeno Croquetas w Honey Mustard (Jalapeno, Cream Cheese, Breadcrumbs)
Bruschettas – Artichoke & Pizza Bites (Baguette, Artichoke dip, Parmesan cheese + Marinara sauce, Salami, Mozzarella cheese
